Josh Swearingen is the Community Outreach Coordinator for Ohio at Arista Recovery, where he bridges the gap between individuals seeking help and the services that support their recovery journey. Based in Columbus, Josh uses his personal experience and professional commitment to connect with community organizations, healthcare providers, and families, raising awareness of addiction recovery and helping people access life-changing resources.
He is acclaimed for his authentic approach—Josh doesn’t just inform, he listens, shares, and empowers. Having navigated his own recovery, he brings empathy, credibility, and a profound understanding of both the challenges and opportunities involved. Outside of Arista, Josh invests in local outreach: speaking engagements, mentoring, partnership building, and education efforts that help reduce stigma and improve access to care.Josh believes recovery isn’t just about treatment—it’s about community, purpose, and connection. In his role, he works tirelessly to ensure that no one in Ohio feels isolated or alone in seeking help.
